My Introduction to Social Media

This morning I'm playing hooky from work, and attending a workshop on Social Media. I have a Facebook page, and a Twitter and Linkedin account, but beyond that the world of social media and how I can harness it is rather unknown to me. The workshop is being put on by Ulistic Internet Consultants - a Calgary company that specializes in website and social media optimization. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. Irena, is the social one when it comes to face to face networking, but keeps a rather low profile online. I'm the exact opposite - I find social situations uncomfortable (and spend my time looking for the exit or biggest void in the room to go to), but online I try to stay quite active.
